The grass is made from waterproof nylon strands with a durable mesh backing designed to promote optimal airflow and drainage. The improved backing allows liquids to pass through efficiently while supporting the turf structure.
It is designed to last for several years. However, many Porch Potty owners choose to replace their synthetic grass after 6 months to 1 year of use due to the natural buildup of urine deposits over time, which can eventually lead to odor that cannot be fully removed. Longevity depends on frequency of use, number of dogs in the household, cleaning routine, and the natural strength of your dog’s urine.
